Under the working title <em>\u201cOn Light.\u201d Light and Perception in the Work of G\u00fcnther Uecker and Their Mediation in the Museum Context<\/em>, the project is dedicated to an in-depth exploration of art mediation perspectives on the work of G\u00fcnther Uecker. This year, the fellowship is being carried out in cooperation with the Staatliches Museum Schwerin (State Museum Schwerin).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:20%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"639\" src=\"https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/CK_2024-e1773216003123.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/CK_2024-e1773216003123.png 488w, https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/CK_2024-e1773216003123-229x300.png 229w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 488px) 100vw, 488px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:80%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Claudia Kudinova is an art and visual historian specializing in the postwar avant-garde and contemporary art. She is currently pursuing a PhD on the painterly work of Hal Busse, supported by a fellowship from the Gerda Henkel Foundation. Since April 2024, she has also been an associated research member and doctoral researcher of the interdisciplinary Cluster of Excellence \u201cMatters of Activity. Object Space Agency\u201d at Humboldt-Universit\u00e4t zu Berlin. In 2023\/24 and again in 2025, she held teaching appointments at the university\u2019s Institute of Art and Visual History. In addition to her role as director of Galerie Volker Diehl, Kudinova is also active as a curator, both within and beyond the gallery context.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2nd Research Fellowship of the Institute for Environment &amp; Design<\/strong><br>The fellowship, through which the Institute for Environment &amp; Design supports projects in the field of artistic research, has this year been awarded to a project by Swedish artist and researcher \u00c5sa Sonjasdotter. The project bears the working title <em>Accessing Historical Time Scales: New Pathways for Sensory and Social Relations Between Breeding and Cultivation in Uniformly Shaped Landscapes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:20%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"681\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Bildschirmfoto-2026-09-03-um-10.48.24-681x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2926\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Bildschirmfoto-2026-09-03-um-10.48.24-681x1024.jpg 681w, https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Bildschirmfoto-2026-09-03-um-10.48.24-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Bildschirmfoto-2026-09-03-um-10.48.24-768x1155.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.guenther-uecker-institut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Bildschirmfoto-2026-09-03-um-10.48.24.jpg 890w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 681px) 100vw, 681px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:80%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c5sa Sonjasdotter is an artist, researcher, and writer who lives on the island of Ven, Sweden, and in Berlin. Her work explores the social, political, and cultural relationships surrounding cultivated plants, agriculture, and food systems. Her practice is informed by her experience of the industrialized agricultural landscapes of southern Scandinavia and her long-standing engagement with peasant knowledge and agroecological practices.
