Entitled \u201cPenetrations of Space,\u201d the GUI will celebrate the release of the first volume of <em>Notizen zu Uecker<\/em> and introduce the 5th G\u00fcnther Uecker Research Fellow, Dr. Nick B\u00f6hnke, in Schwerin.<\/strong><br><br>The G\u00fcnther Uecker Institute (GUI) invites you to the Uecker Evening \u201cPenetrations of Space,\u201d taking place on November 3, 2022 at 5 p.m. at tisch co-working space (Martinstra\u00dfe 11, 19053 Schwerin).<br>On this evening, the G\u00fcnther Uecker Institute (GUI) will present Volume 1 of its series of publications <em>Notizen zu Uecker<\/em>, published by Deutscher Kunstverlag. Under the title \u201cMan\u2019s Inhumanity: G\u00fcnther Uecker\u2019s Conceptual History Paintings,\u201d art historian Dr. Katrin Nahidi analyzes a work by Uecker in which the artist intensively addressed the radical right-wing riots in Rostock-Lichtenhagen. This year marked the 30th anniversary of the events.<br>Afterwards, the GUI will introduce the current G\u00fcnther Uecker research fellow Dr. Nick B\u00f6hnke. The art historian, currently residing in Kiel but a native of Schwerin, will open up a central aspect of Uecker\u2019s oeuvre via his investigation of the artist\u2019s formal processes of painterly reliefs created in the late 1950s.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On November 3, 2022, the Uecker Evening 2022 will take place.
